Johnnie Triplett was the son of Ernie and Nora Triplett.
The Triplett's lived on Rum Creek for years. Johnnie had 2 sisters, Irene and Francis (Emma).
He retired from Lorain Ford Assembly Plant in 1998 after 38 years of service.
Sadly, Johnnie passed away December 4, 2003.
Paul Triplett is the son of Johnnie.
His father told him many stories of Gary Justice, Paul Jo Rhodes and himself.
One of the stories was about the hobos who wandered through Rum Creek eating with any family who would invite them.
Another story told to Paul was about a woman running up the road late at night screaming. You would hear her but not see her.
It was said that after hearing her that someone would be hurt or killed in the mines.
Paul has worked for Ford Ohio Assembly for 15 years and is currently a Union Rep.
Paul is married to Melissa A. "Schafer" Triplett.
They have 2 daughters, Erin Marie 16 and Emily Therese 10. They also have a son, Josiah Louis 5.
Paul remembers Rum Creek as a child and will always cherish the memories.
Thanks Paul for sharing the photo and stories.
