Stringwood originated in Richmond, Virginia as a five man band in the late 80's. The members included talented musicians with sounds primarily influenced by the folk rock artists that dominated so much of the era. Today Stringwood is an audience oriented duo/trio performing music from the 50's and 60's including the great Motown era; 70's pop and rock; and the big 80's. Throw in a good dose of Jimmy Buffett, some island music, a little hot and traditional country , some current rock and you begin to hear the Stringwood variety. With a wide range of original and cover songs in the repertoire, Stringwood can take you to far away places on a nearby budget! Come join the fun! Leave your cares behind, if only for a night… |
