Terminology

The following are definitions that apply to this calculator only. Please refer to the Terminology sections of the individual calculators that you are using to ensure correct material outputs.

NOTE. This calculator is for use on non-wet rooms. If you were to switch all of the duplex outlets to GFI type outlets then this calculator will be sufficient for your needs.

  1. Height - The distance as measured from the floor to the ceiling.
  2. Length - The distance as measured from corner to corner on the longest side of the room.
  3. Width - The distance as measured from corner to corner on the shortest side of the room.
  4. Openings - Measure the width of the doors and/or cased openings in the room. Include Windows only if they touch the floor. Always measure from the inside of the molding to the inside of the molding. Note: You are not required to utilize all door or window field(s).
