Exterior Masonry Calculator

Terminology

The following are definitions that apply to this calculator only. Please refer to the Terminology sections of the individual calculators that you are using to ensure correct material outputs.

Please see our Math Reference page for more in depth information than is given below.

  1. Wall Height - The distance as measured from the bottom of the wall at the shortest point to the bottom of the non-gable end soffit. The distance as measured from the bottom of the wall to the bottom of the opposing soffit.
  2. Wall Length - The distance as measured from corner to corner on the wall. Use the first line of entries to enter all of the non-gable wall lengths by adding those wall lengths together.

    Do Not enter any gable end information in the first row. Enter all gable end information after the first line of entries.

  3. Peak Height - The distance as measured from the top of the wall short point to the bottom of the soffit. (Please note the graphic below.) If the wall does not have a Peak Height, do not edit the corresponding field.
  4. Openings - Windows and Doors are not deducted with this calculator. Please visit our Products Page for a listing of more comprehensive applications if your would like the Windows and Doors to be deducted.

If your masonry is of utility brick size, you will need to purchase: brick.
If your masonry is of rock, you will need to purchase:   tons of rock.
Sand and Cement
You will need to purchase:   Cubic yards of sand.
You will need to purchase:   bags of Portland cement.
