Jessica Lucas, a graduate student at Clemson University,
showed me a maternal roost in a hollow tree of the Southeastern Myotis (Myotis
austroriparius) near the River Trail at Congaree National Park, Richland
County, South Carolina. I returned a few days later and got some recordings of
the sounds of the colony. This recording has not been filtered, nor has any
adjustment been made to the frequencies. This is what you hear while squatting
close to the base of the roost tree.
